I recently had a request by two fourteen year old school girls, if they could come to Fanthyttan and interview me. They were involved in a school project creating a documentary on mediumship together with three other students. Schoolchildren have approached me wanting to do interviews for their school projects and so on before, but it was still very touching that they wanted to talk to me.
They arrived shy, smiling and somewhat nervous, but full of enthusiasm and curiosity. It was refreshing to meet their open minded attitude and they asked some very good questions. The interest and the enthusiasm the young have for these things are amazing; at the same time they can sometimes be a little nervous and scared of.
Last summer we had a visit from a whole group of teenage schoolchildren, who were doing a special summer project, accompanied by two of their teachers. They were travelling around Sweden visiting places known for supernatural phenomenon, so they phoned and asked if they could stop off at Fanthyttan and talk to me. We invited them for lunch and a chat. They arrive looking somewhat nervous. Some of the guys pretended to be nonchalant, but was at the same time very curious. We had a great afternoon, talking and laughing a lot. They asked endless questions and shared their experiences; they proved to be quite knowledgeable. It was a memorable day.
Before leaving they told me that their next stop would be an old haunted prison where they would spend the night. Sometime later we received an e-mail from one of their teachers who accompanied them. He told us about the overnight stay at the prison, the morning after some of the students were found doubled up in their beds, too afraid to sleep on their own. It made me laugh, remembering the bravado I myself had about entering haunted houses as a young person. However, it would quickly disappear and transform into apprehension as I awaited the phantoms of the night to appear.
For almost every young person that have contacted me for interviews and the alike there is a genuine interest in wanting to understand paranormal activity and why it exists. Many of these young people want to learn to manage their own experiences and learn not to be afraid of them. I keep being met by the same questions: “How does it work?” “What happens?” They are our future, and how far will their consciousness have developed in 30 years’ time? I am almost certain that they will be much more developed than me.

I wish you good luck with your efforts. Thank you! Terry Evans
